Backing up the NordicEdge SMS configuration

Description:

All configuration for the NordicEdge SMS software is stored in one file. It is recommended to backup this file.

Add the OTPServer configuration file to the list of files that are part of a normal AppGate backup. As root run:

     ag_cfggetset -a ag_backup.filelist opt/NordicEdge/OTPServer/otp.properties

After this an AppGate backup done by the AppGate Console or a nightly script that run the ag_backup command will also include the otp.properties file.

Restoring

In case a restore is needed the NordicEdge software should first be reinstalled before the AppGate restore function is performed, otherwise the installation process will overwrite the file /opt/NordicEdge/OTPServer/otp.properties.

Of course this can be worked around by making a manual copy of the otp.properties after the restore but before reinstalling the NordicEdge software.
